Product Review: PLDT Instand Landline Prepaid card

For the love of me! this product's marketing strategies are totally unbelievable. imagine wasting a lot of money for TVC of Marian Rivera and not forecasting enough initial inventory for the first batch of products, the supply did not meet its demand.

~ And for the nth time i've watched the commercial, it never occured to my small and uncomplicated mind the wonderful features the product has. All i remembered was Marian Rivera dancing and lifting her foot while walking. haha. When you feature a new product and you use someone like Marian Rivera as an endorser, see to it that you don't end up promoting the endorser.
~ I was only rightfully informed when i got the brochure which i might say is very well done. And the features are really promising and interesting. However, the marketing team must have forgotten to forecast an initial inventory to compensate for the nationwide above and below the line advertising.
~ Yes, I have to give credit to their literature distribution and merchandising, it's just that the supply and product distribution is really way, way bad.
~ Should they have launched this as a test launch, they could have chosen Metro Manila first as a testing ground and then check if the product will be a hit or not. Moving to a national product launch without proper product inventory is such a waste. After some time, consumer's excitement on the product will diminish and no matter how much you promote it, they would'nt want it anymore.

I'm just writing this as I miss my office days and i can't help that anywhere i go, the card is nowhere to be found. I know this product has so much market potential and it's just so sad seeing their marketing efforts go down the drain should the inventory not improve soon.

oh well, having said that, please note that all my product reviews are based on personal opinions and work background.

First projects

Wow, boy i had so much fun from the balloon seminar! as in! We were only four participants because it was really more of a hands-on seminar so we came out very satisfied with all the learnings, how to's and tips that we got.

I met Virge, the perky 43 y/o single mom florist who is so cool i instantly loved her. :D There was also Attina who also has a daughter who'll be turning one soon and she enrolled in the seminar to learn how to decorate for her daughter's party. Then there's Charmaine, the Bacolod newlywed who married a foreigner. We had so much fun together we promised to keep in touch after the seminar.

Here are some of my works:

my first rosette work. naks!

topiary ceiling decor

table centerpiece

garden balloons

chandelier balloon

balloons inside the balloons, so cool!

LINK-A-LOONS! super nice for arch and drapes. makes you wonder how you can link them!

red and gold square-pack pillar with microfoil star balloon

pink and blue spiral garden pillar - great for baptism and parties. :D

so for your balloon party needs, please drop me a note or email me at dec_22_05@yahoo.com or text me at 0917-898-5227. Thanks!

Online writer

About a month ago, i signed up to an online writing opportunity. I was just surfing thru and chanced upon this site, hoping that i'd earn some bucks writing essays or articles of what sorts. Hey, i need to justify my long hours in front of the computer you know. Plus, I need to recharge my brain cells every now and then, so this should be a good exercise. ;)

To be honest, I was scared at first coz the site might not be legit and i might just find myself wasting a lot of reading and composing essays for topics that made me reminisced my college days. I took one assignment first and waited until i get paid, before i get serious with accepting more assignments.

Happy, i saw an email today informing me that they've sent my pay thru paypal. yey! so they really do pay. so after checking my paypal, i logged in immediately to academia-research.com and requested more assignments. haha. My first assignment was a two-page essay that made me $25 richer. I only got the cheap ones first so i won't blame myself so much should the site be illegit. ;)

I know online writing may not be for everyone but just in case you're interested, here are a few tips i got:
~ you'd have to write an essay when you apply so be prepared for it.
~ it's an advantage that you love reading and writing (err, of course!)
~ you get to choose the assignments you can request so make sure that you get the topics that you think you have knowledge of and that you are interested with.
~ request for small-amount projects first. it's easier to complete a number of short projects rather than one long project. You'd get bored easily or you'd end up fighting with the customer.
~ a project can pay you from $20 to $100 each. not bad huh?

There, just go to the site and happy writing!

Starting up

I'm excited for my seminar tomorrow in balloon-decorating. Ever since I prepared simone's first birthday, I can't help but think of how expensive balloon decors are. haha. the reason for my enrollment in this seminar. Hopefully, i'd get interested and who knows, i might pursue this as a business should things get better (or if i get better, haha) But for sure, after this seminar, I'd be the one to decorate my kid's next parties. yey!

Thank you to Filstar who will be organizing the event. They do not hold regular balloon seminars. Luckily, they organized a hands-on seminar that cost me P2,500.00. not bad huh? So if you're interested, drop me a message so i can refer you to Filstar.

Wish me luck!

Multi-tasker

I decided to have this blog as my main blog and i intend to talk about the many roles i play as a venturing and hopeful businessmom. Yes, that's the title i've labeled myself ever since I left my 8-5 job and prioritized my family first. But because the restless in me still thrives, I live each day wanting to explore all opportunities that may come my way. I want to share my experiences and thoughts of the many labels i'd like to become and how these can affect my life as a mom and a wife. And hopefully, you'd be getting some inspiration and information here and there.

After all, women are born multi-taskers :)

My first pay it forward entry -- My parents

My parents on a mission trip in Vietnam

I love every part of them. I love how they raised us up and I always pray to God that I will be the kind of parents that they are to me. I know that it may be a cliche for saying that "we are what our parents brought us up". But it's true, every sense of the word.

People who know me well would always describe me as someone who has a very "stable perspective in life -- someone who knows her strengths and limitations, and someone who is very assured of herself" I think I owe that to my parents. They've raised me up to be a confident woman with the knowledge that I may not be able to do and achieve everything in life, but knowing that I've exerted all my efforts is more than enough. They taught me that positive thinking is a way of life and not just mind-conditioning. They made me realized that i should always learn to accept things that come my way, blessings and even problems. They've taught me to be independent, something that they might have regret teaching, haha.

Everything that I'am is everything that they have moulded me to be. Thank you Mom and Dad. I love you.

And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Welcome to my own domain

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my own corner of the world wide web. I've been maintaining my old blog for almost four years now. I wanted to create a blog that will serve as my "pay-it-forward-blog". I'll talk about more on life experiences, share my thoughts and opinions and feature certain people who have touched my life one way or another. This is my way of paying it forward to people who are blessings to my life. And I hope as I feature them here, they will do the same in their blogs. If they don't have a blog, they can write or inform that person that he is an inspiration and a blessing.

I hope this will evolve as a chain, and eventually be a way of life for all of us. You'll never know how much happiness you can bring if you tell people that they inspire you.

But of course, I will still talk about my everyday experiences and anything under the sun and the moon. haha.

And that's the way the cookie crumbles...
